About me
I’m based in Amsterdam, Holland, but I’m originally from London. I’ve worked as a music therapist, translator, lexicographer and various other writing and writing-related jobs (e.g., copywriting, editing, subtitling).
I taught myself to write for the screen by going to screenwriting workshops (e.g., Robert McKee, Raindance), watching and studying movies, reading and analyzing screenplays and reading how-to books. I’ve written and co-written several feature scripts and shorts (see elsewhere on this site), both animation and live action. I’ve been commissioned to write a couple of feature treatments, I’ve co-written a pilot episode for an animated TV series, and co-written a number of episodes for another children’s animation series (unfortunately, unproduced). I also help other screenwriters as script reader/editor.
I’ve been mainly focused on writing short screenplays for the past year or so. That said, I am also in the middle of writing another feature spec too...
When I'm not writing, I work freelance, translating and proofreading subtitles. I’m 49 years old, married and have three children.
