Applying this to screenwriting, at fir...Good point. Applying this to screenwriting, at first you think having something bought, whether or not it's actually produced, will make you happy. After selling a few things that aren't produced, you think that getting something made, even if they screw it up, will make you happy. After you've had a few things made that were screwed up, you think getting it made the way you want will make you happy...and the moral of the story is: writing it better make you happy, because that's the only part you control!
